Catherine McKenney

Catherine is a former Ottawa City Councillor who worked at the City in senior roles prior to becoming elected in 2014. 

Representing Somerset Ward, Catherine served on Ottawa City Council from 2014 to 2022. 

Co-founder and Executive Director of CitySHAPES, a national nonprofit organization working to make cities better for everyone, Catherine  also works as a consultant with others who share these common goals.

"At CitySHAPES, we will help engaged residents and cities spark and implement the change they need to become healthier, greener, and more vibrant cities where everyone can thrive." 

Catherine cares deeply about equity through affordable housing & ending homelessness, climate action, transit & active transportation, trees & greenspace, and how we build our cities so everyone can thrive in them.
