Holiday Fundraiser - Kanata Food Cupboard
CFUW/Kanata has been a long-time supporter of the Kanata Food Cupboard. It is part of our advocacy.
You may recall that for the last two years we have contributed to the Holiday Fundraiser providing needy families with a turkey and all the trimmings plus a present for each member of the family. Last year you raised an amazing $1,555.
Unfortunately, with the high cost of housing and food, the number of families needing help continues to grow. Once again, therefore, our club will support this fundraiser to help families in our own community. I would like to challenge our club to raise $2,000 this year.
The Food Cupboard has set up our own CFUW/Kanata site on the Canada Helps website. The link is below. You can just click on the link and follow the prompts. You will be able to see the results of our fundraising efforts. You will also receive a charitable tax receipt for your donation.
