CFUW (Canadian Federation of University Women) is a non-partisan, voluntary, self-funded organization with over 90 chapters across Canada.
As a group we are committed to
- Promoting education and lifelong learning;
- Advocating for women’s equality and human rights;
- Active participation in public affairs at the local, national, and international levels in the spirit of cooperation and friendship.
Members of the Kanata chapter work together in a spirit of cooperation and friendship to share knowledge, resources, and networks in order to strengthen communities both locally and globally.
Members are able to:
- Meet new friends and colleagues
- Join one or more of over twenty-five interest groups
- Learn from, and engage with stimulating speakers at our monthly meetings
- Support education and lifelong learning
- Promote equity and justice
- Be a part of an established world-wide women’s organization.
Membership is open to all who identify as women and share our goals. It is not necessary to be a university graduate to join.
