Peace Panel Displays

Making  a panel for the display

Here's a composite picture of some of the first panels that we have collected.

Send us your panel photos for spreading the word and we'll share them on our Facebook page and in our e-blasts to members. Let's give Peace a chance!

Details for our World Peace Day Assembly

Our PEACE Assembly will start at 12:00 pm on September 21st at Parliament Hill in Ottawa. Panels containing Peace messages will be displayed during the assembly.

Ways you can help

Begin by making a panel and pinning it on your fridge, on the cottage mailbox, on a washing line, on a balcony, or at a family gathering, and encourage others to make a Peace panel. Get a little group together and have a panel-making afternoon. (Re-purpose used fabric and use simple design methods.) When you have a group of panels, gather them together, take a picture, and share your handiwork with your club, on Facebook, or email it to your friends.

Next, arrange delivery of your actual panels to the team in Ottawa who will include them in the physical display on Parliament Hill.

Invite people to show up on Parliament Hill and join in the Peace Group at noon on September 21. We want everyone there who is concerned about Peace: CFUW members, their friends, their families, including children and grandchildren.

Our PEACE Assembly will be on September 21st on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.

Panels containing Peace messages will be displayed during the assembly.

If you can join in the group on Parliament Hill, please notify one of our project leaders. Project Leaders for this initiative are Deborah (Sherbrooke & District) and Joan  (Nepean).
