CFUW, Canadian Federation of University Women, is an international organization of women with national, provincial, and local chapters. Many members have graduated from post-secondary educational institutions, but it is not necessary to have a university degree to join a CFUW club. Membership is open to all who identify as women and who share our vision.

Our local chapter includes about 100 members who work together in a spirit of cooperation and friendship. We connect women in our community with each other to share friendship, knowledge, resources, and networks in order to strengthen communities locally and globally. We share our knowledge and friendship through our specialized Interest and service groups. Over twenty groups provide opportunities to develop bridge skills, learn mah-jongg, discuss books, sing, learn to play the guitar, advocate for social justice, go to new movies, become a gourmet cook, enhance artistic skills, visit local places of interest, and more.
Scholarships:
We support a Scholarship Trust through special fund-raising events in the community. Many of our members enjoy serving on active committees to facilitate these initiatives. Each year, The Scholarship Trust disburses funds to local high school graduates who are moving on to post-secondary education.
Meetings:
Our general meetings are held monthly from September through May. Meetings feature speakers on topical issues. Guests are welcome to attend our meetings and any woman who embraces our philosophy and goals is welcome to join us.
