Dr. Kusi Appiah will share insights from his research on water access in marginalized communities, and highlight the importance of community-led initiatives, water conservation, and sustainable management.

The talk will also touch on the experiences of Indigenous communities in Canada and the need for reconciliation and co-management of water resources.

Dr. Kwaku Kusi-Appiah, a demographer and environmentalist is an adjunct professor at Ottawa’s Carleton University. His research seeks to provide a clearer understanding of non-market strategies that determine access to community resources.
