In July 2024, Muriel and Tricia Joined an expedition cruise with Adventure Canada called the Heart of the Arctic. They visited three communities on Baffin Island and one in Northern Quebec as well as 3 uninhabited islands, ending in Greenland North of the Arctic Circle.

The expedition was full of scientists, botanists, geologists, naturalists, archaeologists. There were also local experts on culture, language and way of life. It was an intense learning experience that changed their worldview and understanding of the North.

They followed up with research and have kept in touch with some of the experts on social media. They have great respect for the way of life of the Inuit and how difficult it is to maintain in the modern world. They are excited to share what they learned.
