Celebrate Canada's 150th birthday with our lively program of dancing, singing and excellent musicianship. Our talented performers represent Canada's cultural diversity and highlight the artistic achievements made possible by energy, enthusiasm and commitment.
We are delighted that Jeanette Arsenault, award-winning singer, and song writer has given her support to our show. The massed choir will be singing her song in a rousing finale.
Jeanette's song - that gave its name to our theme for this year's concert - This Is My Canada/Mon cher Canada was written in 1992 as a plea to Quebec to not separate from Canada, and released on her debut album in 1994.
The song has been re-recorded by Canadian Artists with a combined 6 Grammy & 13 Juno Awards – and was launched nationally. Within one month, it had achieved 180,000 YouTube views.
Master of Ceremonies:
Diana Sharp
We are thrilled to welcome Diana as our MC for the evening. Diana is an accomplished vocal performer who studied singing for 10+ years in the UK. Winning three prestigious scholarships connected Diana to a host of experts in the field of opera and classical song. This allowed her to work with conductors, coaches and teachers while competing in international competitions and performing in operas and concerts across England and Europe.
Diana now has her own singing studio in Kanata Lakes with students from amateurs to semi-pros and others who have gone on to study music at university.
